Raiders VS. Aggies

As you all know we are Red Raider fans. Allison and Brian are Aggie fans. One day I was shopping in Old Navy and I found this little shirts for our boys. They both looked so cute in them, and of course their cuteness called for a photo shoot. This was the last day that the Brendel's were at our house. So we also wanted to try, and get a few pictures of the six of us together.
For some reason when Rylan throws a ball, he likes to get a foot in front of you.
The two boys playing catch.
The six of us. This was the best shot that we could get. Notice neither of the boys are looking at the camera.
The boys and their Daddy's.
This is one of my favorite pictures of the two boys.
As you can imagine the sitting didn't last long.
And their off.
Next we tried to get a picture of they boys with their Mommy's
As you can notice that didn't work out so well either.
Dearest Trey, we were so glad that you came and stayed with us. You are precious and funny all at the same time. We loved watching you and Rylan play together! It was so cute how quickly you felt at home. You immediately began loving on Duncan and Winston, and that made us feel great. As they are part of our family. LOL. Some day you and Rylan will look back on this pictures and laugh. Maybe of embarrassment, but you will laugh. We were sad to see you leave, but we can't wait to see you, your curly hair, and sweet nature again.

It was a wonderful visit with the Brendel's. When we first moved to Galveston we don't know anyone. As newlyweds we were desperate to make friends. Well God blessed us, and sent us Brian and Allison. You two made medical school the blast that it was. We cherish your friendship, and we love growing older with you. Seeing our boys play makes us so proud and happy. We look forward to what the future has in store for the now, 6 of us.

Wedding Weekend

Well the fun continued while the Brendel's were here. The day of reshearsal dinner all of the guys went and played golf. Allison and I enjoyed a relaxing morning at home with our little men. Later Allison's Momma and Dad came to the house, and the six of us went to eat lunch.  Then we went back to the house, and let the boys play some more.
After a while the golfing crew came home. George and Rylan had met earlier in the week. Now it was time for him and Trey to meet, and Harv to meet Rylan and Trey. The boys were able to catch up just like old times. It was awesome getting to see all of our friends together again. For a minute it felt as though we were back on the island. For a minute, need I remind you of the two 1 year olds.
Trey still enjoying HIS chair, too cute!
Rylan telling Aunt Allison all about his day.
The two boys being as cute as can be.
Us Mommy's wanted to get some pictures of our boys. Like you couldn't tell.
The two Momma's with our little men. We have a picture of the two of us when we were both pregnant. That makes this picture that much more special to me.
Trey meeting Uncle Harvey.
The golfing crew, and soon to be additions.
Uncle Harvey meeting Rylan, and actually throwing up a double T. Just for the record he is an Aggie.
Mandy how do you think this looks?

The Brendel Visit

We recently had the great pleasure of hosting the Brendel family in our home. Brian came earlier in the week, and Allison and Trey came later in the week. We had the greatest time. It was so fun to see Rylan and Trey play together. The last time they were together they were 8 months and 6 months.  Allison and I couldn't wait to see our baby boys playing together. As soon as we got home the two boys went to work. They began playing right away. It was so nice to see them so independent. The two of them are so precious and at such a fun age. Us four parents love that our boys are so close in age, and that they will get to grow up together. When Trey got to the house he immediately made himself at home. He particularly liked the Mickey Mouse chair. I don't know what it is about that chair, but the boys especially love to climb it. Our boys have grown so much, and we love watching them play together. God is good!
As soon as Trey got there the boys hit the ground running!
Trey immediately made himself at home, which Tyson and I loved.
Diaper Dudes!
They continued to play side by side.
Rylan showing Trey his Mommy and Daddy, and Trey enjoying HIS chair!
Trey testing his limits. He was trying to see how far he could go before his Mommy stopped him.
Our two little men enjoying their Daddy's grilling skills.
Rylan and Trey at 4 months and 6 weeks old. My how time has changed, and how are boys have grown.

Wedding / Beta Reunion

One of our dearest friends from UTMB just got married. The wedding was here in San Antonio so Allison and Brian just stayed with us. Which was convenient and SO MUCH FUN! Aaron Harvey and his now wife Amy had a beautiful Catholic wedding at a beautiful church downtown. We had an AWESOME time and loved seeing our old friends.  The couple is very much in love and reminded us of what love is all about.  Best wishes and God's grace to the happy couple.

The wedding was beautiful and a plus was that a lot of our friends from med school were there. Catching up with old friends is always so fun. We miss them all and can't wait until we get together again.

Our dearest friends, Brian and Allison Brendel. It was so fun to go out with these two. Their son and Rylan are two months apart. So for us four getting out of the house it was a big FUN event!
Same old George, we have really missed that crazy guy.
Still catching up.

Dinner for Four

Tyson's Best Friend from UTMB came and stayed last week with us. We had a great time and really enjoyed his visit. Him and Tyson scheduled their vacation together. The two of them had a great week. I loved watching both of them be carefree, not worry about work and just enjoy each other. We tried to keep Brian entertained while he was here. One night the four of us went to eat at a Japanese Steak House. We had to sit at the Hibachi grill to get the full effect. It was Rylan's first time to eat at a Hibachi grill. We had a great chef, who just so happened to be the head chef. Needless to say all four of us had a great dinner. The evening was (of course) captured in pictures.
Rylan and Uncle Brian became great buddies.
The three boys waiting on their feast.
The boys visiting with our chef.
Of course we had to ask for FIRE! I may be 26 but this is still my favorite part.
This was the reaction we got from Rylan when the chef made fire.
Rylan continued to clap for our chef while he cooked our dinner.
We also asked if he would do the volcano.

Look at Tyson and Brian, Rylan wasn't the only one paying close attention.
Rylan still clapping for our chef and the great food that he prepared for us.
